Chapter six Blood moon

It is New Year’s Eve and Cole and Vanessa are inside of their suite in a luxurious hotel in Paris. Cole is wearing a black suit and Vanessa is wearing a long blue dress. While Vanessa is still doing her hair, Cole walks onto the balcony and looks at the Eiffel tower. “Hurry up, we should be there within ten minutes,” Cole says.

“Yes, I’m ready! It’s only a five-minute walk, calm down.”

Cole walks back into the living room of the suite and looks at Vanessa, who just walked out of the bathroom. “Wow, you look gorgeous.”

“I know,” Vanessa replies with a smirk.

Cole gives her a kiss and Vanessa says, “Shouldn’t we hurry? Don’t forget that we should be at the restaurant within ten minutes.”

Cole smiles and replies, “Funny, very funny. But yes, we should go. So, let’s go.” Cole grabs Vanessa’s hand and they walk out of their suite, where two brown werewolves, also in suits, are already waiting for them. Cole and Vanessa greet them and while they all take the elevator down, Vanessa asks, “Tell me, why do we need bodyguards again?”

“Because the vampires are acting strangely. Daniel and Danny still don’t know anything more about it or why they act the way they do, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be careful. You never know what can happen.”

They step out of the elevator, walk through the lobby and go outside. Cole and Vanessa walk, with one brown werewolf in front of them and one behind them, towards the restaurant and Vanessa says, “I get that, but now we don’t really have private time.”

“Don’t worry, you won’t even know that they’re here. They will wait outside of the restaurant.”

“Won’t even know that they’re here? One is walking in front of us and one is walking behind us. So, it’s pretty obvious that they are here. But okay, it’s no problem. But, shouldn’t they eat something as well?”

“Oh, don’t worry. They had plenty to eat back at the hotel already. I made sure of that,” Cole replies.

Then they reach the restaurant and while the two brown werewolves wait in front of it, Cole and Vanessa step inside and the manager brings them to their table in the corner, at which they have more privacy.

“Welcome to our restaurant Mr. and Mrs. Harrison. I hope you will enjoy the food.”

“I’m sure we will, thank you,” Cole replies.

“Oh, before I forget. If you look at the wall next to you, you will see pictures of a lot of lovely couples,” the manager says, as he then walks off, but still keeps an eye on Cole and Vanessa.

Cole and Vanessa look at all the pictures and Vanessa says, “They all look so happy.”

“I know, but why would their pictures be on the wall inside of this restaurant?”

“Don’t ask me, I have no clue.”

But then Cole sees a picture of Jack and Julia standing in front of the Eiffel tower! “Would you look at that,” Cole says.

“What is it?” Vanessa asks.
